Ingredients

  • 6 oz Boneless, skinless chicken breast (cut into 1-inch pieces)

  • 1 cup Homemade chicken broth (ensure it's made without any illegal ingredients like starches or added sugars)

  • 1 cup Broccoli florets (fresh or frozen)

  • 1 large Carrot (peeled and thinly sliced)

  • 0.25 tsp Sea salt (or to taste)

  • 0.5 tsp Fresh parsley (finely chopped (optional, if tolerated during a flare))

Instructions

    In a small saucepan, combine the chicken pieces and chicken broth. Bring to a gentle simmer over medium heat. Cook for about 10-12 minutes, or until the chicken is thoroughly cooked through and very tender.

    While the chicken is cooking, steam the broccoli florets and sliced carrots until they are very soft and easily mashable. This might take 10-15 minutes, depending on the size of your pieces. You want them to be almost falling apart.

    Carefully transfer the cooked chicken (and a little bit of the broth from the pan) along with the very soft broccoli and carrots into a blender or food processor.

    Add the sea salt and optional fresh parsley.

    Blend until completely smooth and creamy. If the puree is too thick, add a little more of the chicken broth (from the pan or fresh) until you reach your desired consistency. It should be a very smooth, pourable puree.

    Serve warm.
