Ingredients
2 cup bone broth (Homemade chicken or beef bone broth, ensured to be free of starches or illegal additives.)
2 egg yolk (Large egg yolks, separated from the whites.)
1 pinch salt (To taste.)
0.5 tsp ginger (Freshly grated ginger for digestive support (optional).)
1 tsp parsley (Fresh chopped parsley for garnish (optional).)
Instructions
- 1
In a small bowl, lightly whisk the two egg yolks until smooth. Set aside.
- 2
Pour the bone broth into a small saucepan and bring it to a gentle simmer over medium heat. If using, add the grated ginger and salt.
- 3
Once simmering, reduce the heat to low so the broth is barely bubbling.
- 4
Slowly drizzle the whisked egg yolks into the simmering broth in a thin, continuous stream while gently stirring the broth with a fork or whisk. The yolks will cook instantly, forming thin, delicate ribbons.
- 5
Remove the soup from the heat immediately after the yolks are fully cooked.
- 6
Pour the soup into a mug or bowl. Garnish with fresh chopped parsley if desired and enjoy warm.
